I love cultivating communities of courageous self-love with highly responsible women between ages 35 & 55 who desire feeling lighter in body and spirit, more consistent energy and more confident in their choices to prioritize their own self care, ultimately to live a flourishing life they love.

Dawn wanted to get to bed earlier, but it felt daunting. She regularly stayed up late with her husband or friends. Her schedule was very inconsistent, full of frequent travelling and events. She felt groggy and heavy after nights she was up late, and ate or drank more than made her feel good. She resisted change, because her friendships and her partnership were so important to her, and their connection was on these late nights.

Even though she would get tired around 9 or 9:30 pm, well over an hour before going to bed, she told me, “I’m a night person, I’m not a morning person.”

At first, Dawn focused on going to bed early a few nights each week. She shifted her normal sleep time by 30 minutes to allow time for a bath, journaling or reading, and gave herself a cut off time to prevent getting lost in a novel.

Within one month she shared that she was “trying on being a morning person,” too.

To cultivate more ease, she stopped doing stuff around the house when she got tired, and focused on either preparing for the day ahead or winding down.

Dawn began experiencing more energy on the days after she went to bed early enough to rise early. She even developed a morning Yoga practice, for the first time.

After 3 months, Dawn said, “I’m finally getting the hang of it!” and that her loved ones were saying things like, “Every time we see Dawn, she looks younger and healthier!”

Dawn still has close ties with her friends and her husband, who are curious about her successes. Two of her friends joined her in my re: fresh Spring cleanse!

She is learning how to vacation and hang out in ways that support her thriving.
