Bigger Impact, Bigger Income
In this Changemaker Challenge career clarity session, Carly Banks sits down with fellow Yoga Health Coach Neve Grace Fletcher.
Prior to Yoga Health Coaching, Neve was a yoga teacher who was helping run a non-profit, and she wasn’t really making enough money to survive. She felt “stuck,” and found herself in a victim mindset. Even though her method of teaching yoga requires more of a commitment than the average drop-in class, she wanted to make a bigger impact off the mat.
Having studied Ayurveda for years, Neve started actively looking for a group of Ayurvedically aware yoga teachers. She wasn’t able to find it in her local area, so she took her search online. She found YHC and without any money, and without hesitation, she enrolled. She coached two groups during her training and made enough money to pay for the training. Now she’s making money and making a bigger impact as a yoga health coach!
YHC provides an online community that allows us to connect with our peers in many ways, including real time. During YHC, there were times when Neve felt overwhelmed and doubtful about her ability to thrive as a yoga health coach. At those times, she was able to draw on the strength and support of the Yoga Health Coaching tribe.
What you’ll get out of tuning in:
- How Yoga Health Coaching is much more than an online course.
- How you can get paid while training to be a yoga health coach.
- How the habits of Body Thrive give us the tools we need to run our health coaching businesses from a place of ease, confidence, and flow.

Show Highlights:
- 0:00 – Prior to Yoga Health Coaching, Neve was a yoga teacher who was helping run a non-profit, and she wasn’t really making enough money to survive. Even though her progressive method of teaching yoga requires more of a commitment than the average drop-in class, she wanted to make a bigger impact off the mat.
- 4:18 – As a single mom trying to make ends meet, enrolling in YHC rather than picking up a “day job” was a brave step for Neve.
- 7:00 – What we offer as yoga health coaches is so much deeper than what we are able to offer as yoga teachers or body workers. We create a container, a safe space, for people to grow and evolve, often in ways we don’t expect and can’t predict.
- 11:45 – While we all teach the same 10 habits, we’re able to customize our courses by incorporating information and experiences that are interesting, meaningful and fun for us.
- 17:12 – As wellness providers, working from home can be kind of lonely. YHC provides an online community that allows us to connect with our peers in many ways, including real time. Prior to finding YHC, Neve was actively looking for a group of Ayurvedically-aware yoga teachers. She wasn’t able to find it in her local area, so she took her search online. - 19:42 – Ayurveda is not widely known within the general population. As yoga health coaches, we are at the forefront of spreading the wisdom of Ayurveda in ways that are understandable, accessible, and implementable to people in our society. We are also our own test subjects for the habits of Body Thrive. The habits of Ayurveda, the habits that we teach, give us the tools we need to run our health coaching businesses from a place of ease, confidence, and flow.
